The Macallan 17 Year Old Fine Oak Single Malt Scotch Whisky
About The Macallan 17 Year Old Fine Oak Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Introduced in 2004, The Macallan's Fine Oak series showcases the mastery of wood that the distillery is known for. The exceptional oak casks are sourced, toasted, and seasoned under the watchful eye of their Master of Wood to the exact standards and specifications of the Whisky Mastery Team. The Macallan Fine Oak spent its 17 years in a combination of 3 different cask types: sherry and bourbon American oak, and Spanish sherry casks. This makes for a complex, flavorful, and aromatic expression with exotic tropical fruit, jasmine, and citrus notes. This wonderfully mature single malt Scotch is bottled at 86 proof.Get your bottle of this exceptional single malt today!
About The Macallan
Situated on a ridge above the banks of the River Spey, the Easter Elchies House has been the spiritual home of The Macallan for over three centuries. In 1820, Alexander Reid sowed the fields surrounding the rented home with barley and established the first licensed distillery on the estate, which he named Macallan after an ancient church that had been destroyed by fire during the 15th century. In the slow winter days, Reid would ferment and distill his excess grains into whisky, which was often drunk straight from the still or sold to travelers passing through the town.Today, the Macallan Estate encompasses 370 acres, 95 of which are devoted to the production of the Macallan Estate's Minstrel barley (a single acre produces about 2.5 tons of barley each year, enough to yield 1,800 bottles of The Macallan). In addition, the distillery contracts with farmers to purchase barley that is low in nitrogen and high in starch, resulting in a rich and oily whisky.
After the harvest, the barley is malted and mashed in one of The Macallan's two mash tuns, a process that takes between four and eight hours. Then, the barley is fermented with a specially cultured yeast before being distilled twice through The Macallan's copper-pot stills. The copper comprising the stills acts as a catalyst and enhances the formation of sweet esters while minimizing impurities such as sulfur. In addition, the curiously small stills — some of "the smallest stills within the Scotch whisky industry," accordi ng to production manager Alexander Tweedie — produce a whisky with a heavy, oily flavor. Following distillation, The Macallan distillers remove the heads and tails of the whisky and collect approximately 16% of the spirit to fill into casks for maturation. This "cut," which is among the highest of any Scottish distillery, results in a more full-bodied and richer whisky.
About Scotch
Scotch is the most popular whisky in the world and is considered the king of them all! There are five whisky regions in Scotland (six if you count the not officially recognized Islands), and each of them produces spirits with unique properties and distinct tasting notes. (The type of grain used determents the type of the scotch.)
Malt whisky is made of malted barley, and grain whisky uses other grains like corn or wheat. Most of the time, a whisky is blended from different distilleries hence the name blended scotch, but if a malt whisky is produced in a single distillery, we get something extraordinary called a single malt.

Four Roses Small Batch Limited Edition 2020 Bourbon Whiskey
About Four Roses Small Batch Limited Edition 2020 Bourbon Whiskey
Following Prohibition, Four Roses Kentucky Straight Bourbon became the top-selling bourbon in the United States. In 1943, Seagram’s bought the distillery and a decade later, discontinued the sale of Four Roses Kentucky Straight Bourbon. In 2002, the distillery changed hands again, and the new owner brought a renewed sense of purpose and vigor to Four Roses.A signature trait of Four Roses is their use of full transparency; they display the different distillates and recipes that go into each bottle. This showcases how the limited edition blends have evolved year after year. Historically The Four Roses Distillery has been known to use five different yeast strains and two mash bills at any given time. This means that a total of 10 different distillates can be used to blend their bourbons. Every barrel at Four Roses is labeled with a four-letter code. Each yeast strain and mash bill is identified by corresponding letters K, O, Q, F, V (for the mash bills) and E and O (for the yeast strains).
There's a special edition, small-batch bourbon that Four Roses releases every September in honor of National Bourbon Month. The 2020 release is a 111.4-proof bourbon that is bottled without chill-filtration and is crafted with a hand-picked selection of batches: a 12YO OBSV-recipe bourbon, a 12-year-old OESV, a 19-year-old OBSK, and a 16-year-old OESK. "Each batch in this year’s limited edition bottling is an exceptional whiskey that could have stood on its own as a single barrel offering, but in this case the sum is even greater than the parts. Together these bring a perfect balance of bright, vibrant flavors and aromas from the 12 and 16-year-old barrels combined with the oak tones and aged expressions from the 19-year-old batch," says Master Distiller Brent Elliott. As a non-core range limited edition, once this bourbon is gone, it’s gone forever.

Garrison Brothers Cowboy Bourbon 2019 Edition
About Garrison Brothers Cowboy Bourbon 2019 Edition
Garrison Brothers Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey is made from organic corn, wheat and barley. "We get about 30,000 pounds of corn, wheat and barley delivered a month," says Garrison. "The wheat comes from our own fields — we have 65 acres of wheat on the other side of the property."In addition, the corn is harvested from local fields in Texas while the barley is sourced from the Pacific Northwest.
Once the grains arrive at the distillery, they are milled and mashed before being fermented for four days. Following fermentation, the wash is distilled through an antique, copper pot still nicknamed the copper cowgirl. "She was made as an experimental still," says Garrison, "for Wild Turkey Distillery." After the bourbon has been distilled, it is aged in charred, American oak barrels. "The char softens the wood, and allows the bourbon to expand into the wood. When it gets hot — and it gets hot out here in Texas — that bourbon will soak deep into the wood and extract the chemical compounds that are in there."
This 2019 Garrison Brothers Cowboy Bourbon clocks in at a high-octane 137.7 proof. It is drawn from the distillery team’s favorite barrels, which were set aside for a couple of years for further maturation. The liquid is bottled at cask-strength, uncut and unfiltered. Each barrel used in this 2019 release was aged up to five years.
“It takes a special barrel to create a bourbon nectar sweet enough to be enjoyed at such a high proof, the potency normally overpowers the flavor. That ain’t the case with the Cowboy – it’s so sweet, the flavor overpowers its proof. And you can thank the Texas heat for that” (Garrison Brothers Distillery).

Nikka Gold & Gold Samurai
About Nikka Gold & Gold Samurai
In 1895, Masataka Taketsuru — the father of Japanese Whisky — was born in the small town of Takehara, Japan. At the time, Masataka's family owned a sake brewery, and in preparing to carry on the family trade, Masataka studied chemistry and biology at Osaka Technical High School. After graduating high school, Masataka showed more interest in whisky than in sake and in 1918, he enrolled at the University of Glasgow in Scotland, becoming the first Japanese ever to study the art of whisky-making. While in Scotland, Masataka took chemistry courses during the day while apprenticing at distilleries at night, learning to distill and blend whisky first-hand at some of Scotland's most prestigious distilleries. In 1920, Masataka returned to Japan, and within the decade, had produced the country's first single malt whisky. In 1934, Masataka moved to the town of Yoichi and opened the doors to Nikka Whisky Co. In 1960, as the Yoichi Distillery was reaching capacity, Masataka began searching for another suitable location in Japan to open a second distillery. Following a three-year search, Masataka found a wide forest valley at the junction of the Hirosegawa and Nikkawagawa rivers. The localized humidity from the rivers and surrounding hills, together with the quality of water from Nikkawagawa River, created the perfect location for a second distillery, which he named Miyagikyo.
Originally launched in 1968, this Collectible Nikka blended whisky comes complete with its own removable metallic Samurai helmet and armor. It was originally launched in 1968 and fe atures a blend of malts. Bottled at 40% ABV.

Glen Breton Rare 19 Year Old Single Malt Whiskey
About Glen Breton Rare 19 Year Old Single Malt Whiskey
For starters, their whisky harnesses the pure water that flows from the Mabou Highlands, where it flows over granite, marble, and maple and apple tree roots. First, the harvested barley is brought into the distillery, soaked, and allowed to germinate. Next, it is transferred into a kiln building, where smoke and heat halt the germination process, making it ready to be ground and soaked in hot water that dissolves the sugar. Yeast is added to the cooled wort, bringing the alcohol content to 9% ABV. Finally, the liquid is distilled twice using copper pot stills. The new make spirit is then aged in oak casks in the warehouse, surrounded by apple and maple trees for at least 3 years.
Their flagship Rare lineup of whiskies started with the 8 Year Old in 2000, with the oldest expression reaching 30 years of age. Glen Breton Rare 19 Year Old has spent 14 years in hand-picked American oak casks before being bottled at 86 proof. Rich and complex, the expression has won a Bronze Medal at the New York International Spirits Competition for its richness and complexity with notes of citrus, pine, honey, hazelnut, and gentle smoke.
