About Crown Royal 29 Year Old Extra Rare Blended Canadian Whisky
In 1939, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth became the first reigning monarchs to journey across North America. At the time, a Canadian entrepreneur crafted a special whisky so that the King and Queen could enjoy it in their private rail car. Crown Royal takes its name from this historic event. Today, they craft their whisky in Gimli, Manitoba, using the finest Canadian ingredients. Crown Royal 29 Year Old Extra Rare Blended Canadian Whisky is a stunning limited-edition expression that was aged for a whopping 29 years. Robust in flavor and smooth, the whisky is balanced by Canadian rye grain and the spice it provides. Orchard fruit, oak, licorice, and vanilla, make for a flavor-packed whisky that’s bottled at 92 proof. Only 6,000 bottles were made available.

About Crown Royal
Crown Royal Blended Canadian Whisky was created in 1939 as a gift for King George VI and Queen Elizabeth who made history when they became the first reigning monarchs to visit Canada. Upon hearing the historic news, Sam Bronfman, the owner of The House of Seagram, set out to craft a whisky suited for the Royal Couple. He meticulously trialed more than 600 blends before settling on an exquisitely smooth blend of roughly fifty whiskies which became known, fittingly, as Crown Royal. The final product was presented to King and Queen in a cut-glass decanter and regal purple bag with gold stitching. The train carrying the monarchs was stocked with 10 cases of the royal blend. Crown Royal was released in the United States in the 1960s and has since become the top-selling Canadian whisky. To this day, every drop of Crown Royal award-winning whiskies is crafted to meet the same unc ompromising standards. The brand is now owned by Diageo.
